Spots sharing a group can be shown together in the grid and on the map.

Latitude, longitude, a Plus Code like 6Q62+GF Kuala Lumpur, or a Google Maps link that carries a position. On a phone the Plus Code is the easy one: it is in the place details in Maps, and tapping it copies it.

Import spots

Adds spots from a file. Nothing is ever deleted: a coordinate already in the book is updated rather than added twice.

A file looks like this

Those three are all a spot needs. Add as many spots as you like between the square brackets, separated by commas.

You can also add

Country, state and the local time are worked out from the coordinate, so leave those out. category has to be one the book already has. A CSV wants one row per spot under a header row, with lat and lon as their own columns.

Groups

A group is a name its spots share — a rally, a route, an afternoon. Groups are made on a spot, and one disappears when nothing is left in it.

Add a place

Search for it and the rest follows — which country it is in, what its flag is and which time zone it keeps. The name is yours to change afterwards.
